Independent exploration of the Colosseum
The Colosseum is the most recognizable symbol of Ancient Rome. It’s size alone makes the crowds appear tiny as they follow guides along their routes. This is not how you want to experience it. This independent tour allows you to go where you want. You can get as close as you can to the arena floor to see the inner workings of the underground area. Or you can climb the brick steps up to the stands to get epic views out over Rome. Some visitors like to just wander through the stands to get a feel for what it was like for the thousands of spectators. It is up to you.
