Discover the once Bustling Heart of The Empire
Our tour through Ancient Rome continues on to the Forum. Once the heart of the Empire's political power, this was where Romans from all walks of life participated in the incredible exploits that made the civilization so remarkable. Following that, we'll travel on to the Palatine Hill – the spot where it all started. Legend has it that this is where Romulus and Remus were raised by their wolf mother and where Romulus founded the glorious city that we now call Rome. It’s also home to the city’s oldest ruins as well as the best views.
Next, we’ll take a well-deserved lunch break in the historic center of the city. Your guide will recommend a spot or you can try one of the trattorias or pizzerias around the area. Soak up the atmosphere before the next leg of our tour, a journey through the best of modern Rome.
The Sites that Make Rome
We’ll then wander the streets of Rome, seeing the most famous sights, such as the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, and Piazza Navona. These sights will be brought to life with the stories and myths that make Rome unlike any other city in the world. Your guide will lead you on a trek that takes in the length and breadth of Rome’s historic center.
